Oprah’s video to Calvin Mitchell “The boy who said she abandoned him” he ambushes Oprah outside Manhattan’s Ed Sullivan Theater”

Bizarre moment Oprah Winfrey gets ambushed by man claiming to be her ‘secret son’ after leaving The Late Show studio.

Oprah Winfrey was ambushed by a man claiming to be her ‘secret son’ after leaving a recent taping of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The 61-year-old media mogul was photographed as she attempted to deal with the man, Calvin Mitchell, during an awkward encounter outside Colbert’s New York studio on October 15.

The National Enquirer arranged for Mitchell to run into Winfrey after he claimed he wanted to reconnect with the talk show host after becoming estranged from her for 20 years.

Mitchell told Radar on Monday that Winfrey once asked his mother to adopt him at age 11 after he and the billionaire mogul met on the 1992 set of ABC’s movie-of-the-week, There Are No Children Here.

Remember me? After her TV appearance, Oprah was ambushed outside Manhattan's Ed Sullivan Theater by her 'long lost son' Calvin Mitchell (L) following a 20-year estrangement

Abandonment issues: The two-time Oscar nominee was seen greeting the 35-year-old truck driver, who claimed she once asked his mother to adopt him at age 11

Mitchell told Radar Online: 'I want to ask Oprah, "Why did you leave me? Why did you leave me?" I'm still empty. I'm still searching. I don't have closure to this. I just don't understand'

Winfrey - who boasts a $3 billion fortune - would allegedly send gifts to the boy with notes addressed: 'To my son Calvin, I love you'

Oprah said she didn't immediately recognize Mitchell but then asked him why he had spoken to the tabloids. After realizing their run-in was a set-up, she said she no longer wants anything to do with him

Abusive, poverty-stricken upbringing: In the past, Oprah has reportedly said she never 'felt compelled' to have children 'because I wasn't mothered well' by Vernita Lee - who was too busy working as a housemaid

Mitchell (pictured) said he charmed Oprah by offering her a Diet Coke on a film set, and she offered him a job as her 'personal bodyguard' before asking his mother Eva if she could adopt him

Oprah (pictured on the Late Show) said that she has not spoken to Mitchell since he quit the private boarding she had enrolled him in more than 20 years ago
